Class Info:
This class is designed as an introduction to lighting concepts for off camera lighting. We will cover the basics of how lighting works with both continuous light and strobes. The goal is to make you comfortable with using various types of lighting so that you can stretch your creative eyes. Here are some of the basic concepts we will cover in the class.
- Camera Basics
- Continuous Light
- Strobes
- Triggering Options
- Hard Light vs. Soft Light
- Basic Light Modifiers
- Basic Lighting Setups
The class will include 4 hours of instructional time with examples of different lighting equipment, and end with a hands on setup/demonstration of the Basic Lighting Setups discussed in the class. We will have a one hour lunch break at noon. And while lunch is not provided as part of the class, we will have snacks and drink available for participants during the instructional times.
